NEW ULM

Kathleen Schilling, 68, of New Ulm died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Sleepy Eye Hospital in Sleepy Eye. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in the St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery in Wanda. Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. Friday and from 7:30 – 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, SOUTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm.

Kathleen is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Paul Rohlik of Vesta; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Ann Schilling of Wabasso, David and Kathy Schilling of Wanda, Mark and Pauline Schilling of Clear Lake, South Dakota, Robert Schilling of Wabasso, Joseph Schilling of Garvin; many nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathleen Mary Schilling was born on February 17, 1944 in Springfield to Joseph and Irene (Soukup) Schilling. She worked most of her life at 3M in New Ulm. Kathleen was active in sports such as softball, golf, bowling, and motorcycling. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed having her family over for Thanksgiving dinner. Kathleen was a member of a card club in New Ulm and the Red Hat Society Ladies.
