God called our special angel Marlys home to be with Him and her parents in heaven throughout eternity.

Marlys Meidl, 82, of New Ulm died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 28, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm with Father Mark Mallak celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 – 7 PM Tuesday and 7:30 – 8:30 AM Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of Mass at church on Wednesday.

Marlys is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine Arndt, Donna Windhorn both of New Ulm, Doris Saffert of Sleepy Eye, Lois Johnston of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Yvonne and Harold Windschitl, Lorraine and Leo E. Schroepfer all of Sleepy Eye; brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Rita Meidl of Austin, Martin and Beth Meidl of Lamberton, Paul Sr. and Shirley Meidl, Ray Meidl all of New Ulm; and by four generations of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Pelzel Farrell; and by her brother, Hugo Meidl.

Marlys successfully completed her mission of spreading happiness and sunshine to all those she met.
