Carol Sue Douglas

New Ulm

Carol Douglas, 64, of Mankato, formerly of Hanska, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at her home in Mankato. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm with Pastor Ric Jacobsen officiating the service. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 – 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Carol is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jodi & Jim Bushey of Faribault; sons & daughter-in-law Donny (significant other Barb Berentson) Douglas of Waterville, Jamison & Stephanie Douglas of Mankato; grandchildren Danielle Bushey, Ashley (significant other Matt Harding and his son, Oliver) Douglas of Mankato, Samantha Bushey, Jacob Bushey, Caitlin Bushey all of Faribault, Daniel Douglas of Mankato, and Cheyenne Oliver of Waterville; sisters & brothers-in-law Linda & Gary Freeman of New Ulm, Debra & Gary Hjermstad of Deadwood, South Dakota; brother Jim Northrup of Arkansas; many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Dani; sister, Pat; special friend Chuck Pizel; the times they spent together were some of her happiest.

Carol Sue Brown was born February 19, 1948, in New Boston, Illinois, to Dale and Gladys (Clawson) Brown. She loved reading, feeding the birds, jigsaw puzzles, and her DVR. Most of all she loved her kids, her grandchildren, and her pets, Squeaker and Duke. She will be missed by all.
