Mildred,” Millie” Grau, 90, of New Ulm died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop.

Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, January 11, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Timothy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at church on Friday.

The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm is handling the arrangements.

Mildred is survived by her nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Grau; and by her sisters, Viola Ruhnow, Lydia Bode, Ella Ruhnow and Glorine Nelson.

Mildred Minnie Ruhnow was born April 3, 1922 in New Ulm to John and Mary (Rautenberg) Ruhnow. She was united in marriage to Joseph Grau on June 7, 1958 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. After marriage they farmed in Sigel Township, Brown County. Millie was also employed at the Wearwell Garment Factory and Eibner’s Bakery baking pies in New Ulm.

She was a member of the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
