NEW ULM

Adeline Domeier, 95, of New Ulm died Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Tuesday, January 22 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Monday and 7:30-10:30 am Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers with pray the rosary at 4 pm Monday at Cathedral and the St. Joseph/St. Elizabeth Catholic United Council will pray the rosary at 6 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Adeline is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Jack Cushing of Goodyear, Arizon; son, David Domeier of Gaylord; daughter-in-law, Ardelle Domeier of New Ulm; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Agnes Gitter of Gibbon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sylvester and Theresa Domeier, Jerry Meyer, and Irene Domeier, all of New Ulm . She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1995; son, Vincent; brother, Andrew; and by many in-laws.

Adeline Elizabeth Hoffmann was born October 2, 1917 in Milford Township, Brown County to Andrew and Annie (Seifert) Hoffmann. She attended District 50 Country School in Milford Township until the 8th grade. In September of 1941, Adeline was united in marriage to Meinrad Domeier at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. They farmed the family farm in Milford Township until 1987. They then retired and moved to New Ulm. Adeline was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the Christian Mothers Society, the St. Joseph/St. Elizabeth Catholic United Council, and C.A.S.T. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, visiting and recycling cards at the New Ulm Senior Center, baking, doing crafts, and spending time with her friends and family. Memorials are preferred to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.
