New Ulm

Kelly Kral, 51, of New Ulm died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the New Ulm Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday, February 12 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 7 pm Monday and 7:30 – 10 am Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.

Kelly is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, LaRay “Skip” Kral Jr., Alan and Susan Kral, all of New Ulm; a niece, Katherine Kral; nephews, Jon Kral and special friend, Chelsey Gudgeon, Nick and wife, Lindsay, Schultz; special friend, Chris Kral; and by his MBW family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, LaRay “Chuck” Kral.

Kelly Joseph Kral was born October 10, 1961 in New Ulm to LaRay and Doris (Grosam) Kral. He attended New Ulm Schools. After high school he lived in New Ulm at an MBW group home and worked at MRCI for 28 years. Kelly loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, and singing karaoke. He liked John Deere tractors and Harley Davidson motorcycles. For many years, Kelly coached and participated in the Special Olympics. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Parish.

Kelly had a special place in the hearts of many and will be dearly missed.
