Allen Scott Meyer was born February 18, 1957 at Teissen hospital in Springfield to Robert E. and Mae (Jensen) Meyer. He graduated high school in Clara City and went on to attend Canby Votech. On September 7, 1985, Al was united in marriage to Treacy Wieben at Schell's Park in New Ulm. This union blessed the couple with a son and a daughter. Al was always a hard worker. As a teenager, he started working with the newspaper, delivering papers. He also worked at the Springfield Bakery, making early morning deliveries before school and returning to help again after school. Early in Al's career, he was a diesel mechanic. He then worked for New Ulm Freight Lines, MVTL, and several other trucking companies. He ended his career driving truck for D&A Truck Line. Al enjoyed classic cars, nascar, westerns, birds and bird feeders, spending time outside, helping anyone out with many different projects, and simply being active. His greatest joy in life was his family. He was a great husband, wonderful Dad, and loving Grandpa. Al was loved dearly and will be deeply missed. Blessed be his memory.
