Arlene Woratschka, age 101, of New Ulm passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Southview Living Center in Gibbon.
Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2024 at the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.

Arlene is survived by her son, Gordon J. Woratschka of New Ulm; two grandchildren, Gary Woratschka of Madelia and Gina Bruns of Madelia; six great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and many extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norbert Woratschka; and sister, Myra (Elmer) Meyer.
Arlene Helen Bauermister was born November 2, 1922 to Bernard and Amelia "Molly" (Macho) Bauermister in New Ulm. She graduated from New Ulm Public High School. On November 19, 1941, Arlene was united in marriage to Norbert Woratschka at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm and their union was blessed with one child. Arlene dedicated her life to raising her son, helping Norbert on the farm, and working as a music teacher. She also spent time with Rolly Wickman's Band, German Bohemian Singers, and working polka masses and receptions. Above all else, she enjoyed all the time she was able to spend with her family. Arlene will be dearly missed by those that knew her. Blessed be her memory.
