Arlys Minnie Hoffman was born November 5, 1945 to Alvin and Agnes (Wills) Hoffman. She graduated from Gibbon High School in 1963. She was united in marriage to David Peterson and their union had two children, whom Arlys focused her life on raising. The couple later divorced. On June 14, 1986, Arlys was united in marriage to David Schiltz in Gibbon. Her children had grown and Arlys began working as a paraprofessional at the New Ulm High School for many years until she retired. In her free time, Arlys enjoyed playing bingo, tending to her garden, going bowling, helping David on the farm, going fishing, and taking care of the farm cats. Arlys especially enjoyed traveling in the motorhome with David, playing games and shaking dice with her grandchildren, and all the time she was able to spend with her family. Although her passing was sudden, countless treasured memories will continue to live on with those that knew her. Blessed be her memory.
