Audrey Portner, 80, of New Ulm died Saturday, December 14, 2024 at her home, Woodstone Senior Living Center in New Ulm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 - 7 PM Thursday and 9- 10:30 AM Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH Chapel in New Ulm.

Audrey Rose Brau was born July 24, 1944 in Redwood Falls to Otto and Caroline (Gorres) Brau. She was united in marriage to Charles Portner on August 10, 1965 in Lucan and together they raised five children. Audrey was employed at Pietrus in Sleepy Eye and McDonalds in New Ulm as well as being a mother and homemaker. Her hobbies included painting, crafts, canning, baking, bowling, and watching murder mysteries and westerns.

Audrey is survived by her daughters, Nicole (Mike) Dove and Tanya (Korey) Groebner; sons, Dean, Joel (Stacie) and Brian (Michelle), 13 grandchildren, Josh, Justin and Jacob; Austin (Hattie), Jordan and Mason; Katie, Resha and Maddi; Colby and Claire; Erin and Amber, her sister, Lavonne (Kenny) Portner, sisters-in-law, Norma Brau, Nancy Brau and Alice Denn, and brother-in-law Delmar (Mary Ann) Portner.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Chuck, the love of her life; parents, brothers Charles and Kenneth, Candace Brau, Jerry Denn and other loved ones.
