Barry Dyre, 72, of Gibbon died Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis surrounded by his loving family. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, NORTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm.
Barry is survived by his mother, Betty Winslow of California; wife, Susan Dyre of Gibbon; daughters, Cindy Dyre of Park Falls, Wisconsin, Kari (Jason) Fritz of Winthrop, Kristy Stock of St. Cloud, Julie Topel of Montevideo; sons, Scott Dyre and his special friend, Beverly Stevens both of Hutchinson, Todd Dyre of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Nic, McKenzie, Kobe, Emily, Abby, Addison, Charlie, Avery, Jesse; brothers, Mark (Linda) Dyre of New Brighton, Tom (Georgia) Dyre of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Kelly Dyre; grandson, Bo Dyre; brother, Steve Dyre; step-father, Ford Winslow.
Barry Michael Dyre was born on March 5, 1943 in Mason City, Iowa to Elmer and Betty (Edie) Dyre. He was self-employed in construction, drove truck for various people, and worked in security at Kraft Foods in New Ulm. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, drawing, and spending time with his family and visiting with friends. Barry was very grateful for his life since he received a lung and kidney transplant nineteen years ago. www.mvfh.org
