Beverlee M. Haar, age 88 of New Ulm died peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at her home at the Woodstone Senior Living Community with her family by side.
Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 2, 2022, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Pastor Jeffrey Bovee will officiate, and burial will take place at a later date in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Loretto.
A visitation will be held from 11 am-1 pm on Friday, December 2nd at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting the family with arrangements at this time.

Bev is survived by her loving family, Tom (Debby) Haar, Ruth Schultz, Susan Haar, Carla Melendy; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillian Haar, her sisters, and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Glenard Tessmer, Lillian and John Wohlrabe, and her brother-in-law, Robert Schultz.
Beverlee May Haar was born on May 13, 1934, in Greenfield Township, Minnesota to William and Lillian (Bohlken) Haar. Bev attended school in Buffalo, Minnesota and was a 1952 graduate from DMLC High School in New Ulm. She furthered her education at Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm where she attained her teaching degree. She later achieved her Master's Degree in Education from Wayne State University in Nebraska. Bev knew she was going to be an educator from an early age. She served as a dedicated and loving Lutheran elementary school teacher in five congregations. Bev was called to Dr. Martin Luther College in 1975 where she served as the Dean of Women. She later served as a professor in the MLC Early Childhood Education Program until her retirement in 2005. Beverlee was a devout member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Bev will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of loving her, working with her, and knowing her. Blessed be her memory.
Memorials are preferred to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, MLC Early Childhood Learning Center, or the donor's choice.
