Beverly Gareis, age 67 of New Ulm died Monday, March 24, 2025 at her home in New Ulm.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1-3pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home - SOUTH chapel.

Beverly is survived by her children, Matthew (Jennifer) Vee of Rapid City, SD, Erin (Ezz-eldin) Hassan of Atlanta, GA; Rachel (Steve) Page of Fate, TX; Emily Nachreiner of Sioux Falls, SD; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Bruce, Polly, and Sandy; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Gareis.

Beverly Jo Melzer was born February 23, 1958 in New Ulm to Wallace and Doris (Schlottman) Melzer in New Ulm. She attended grade school at St. Paul's Lutheran School and graduated from New Ulm Public High School. Beverly was blessed with four children, whom she raised in New Ulm. Beverly worked for Ming Garden and Hy-Vee. Beverly enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, gardening, and shopping. She had an immense love for her dogs and was always deep in her faith. Beverly loved being a grandma and any time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. Her laugh and kindness will be dearly missed by those who loved her. Blessed be her memory.
