Carol was born in New Ulm and lived there her entire life. She graduated from Holy

Trinity Cathedral High School. Shortly after graduation she landed her dream job as a
fashion clothes buyer for Herberger's Department Store. With her strong fashion sense,
she soon took on the name, Classy Carol. Even if nowhere to go, Carol would dress
with great class, including all the accessories to match.

While being a buyer for Herbergers was her initial dream job, the "job" that delighted her
most in life was being a homemaker. She married Edgar Reinhold Isberner and they
raised 5 wonderful children. They all enjoyed spending time on the pontoon boat
together every Sunday for family day making great memories.
She was part of the sewing club with some of her close friends and she always enjoyed
hosting people in their home for gatherings of any kind.

Carol's name means "Song of Joy" and she truly exuded joy. She was always full of
gratitude and her funny bone was easily tickled with a laugh that was highly infectious.
Many of her laughs happened in Melbourne Beach, FL where she and Edgar wintered,
but they also traveled the country in their motorhome.
Carol was the model of unconditional love. And if you ever spent any time around her
you would have experienced her kind, thoughtful, gracious, funny, and loving demeanor.
You would know that she was a powerful prayer warrior.

Her legacy is one that is hard-pressed to be matched. But, it is passed on to her
surviving daughters Paula Mitlyng, Carla Fuglestad (Dave), sons Todd Isberner
(Wendie), Brad Isberner (Sandy), Jeff Isberner, 15 grandchildren and 32 great-
grandchildren. She was preceded by husband, Edgar Isberner, parents Armand and
Bertha (Groebner), and brother Jerome.
