Carole Ulrich, 89, of New Ulm died Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Bayside Manor in Gaylord.

A private graveside service will be held in the New Ulm City Cemetery at a future date.

Carole is survived by her daughters, Lori Ulrich of New Ulm and Linda (Barry) Austad of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Casey Austad of Minneapolis, Brandi Gee of Cleveland; great granddaughters, Sajen and Mattea; and sister-in-law, LaVonne Ebert. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Clarence Marks; her husband, Gerald Ulrich; son, Randy Ulrich; brother, Wally Ebert; stepsister, Irene Knutson; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Lucille and LuVerne Wehking, Dennis and Norma Ulrich, and James and Monnie Ulrich.

Carole Ulrich was born July 22, 1936, in New Ulm to Alice and Clarence Marks. She was raised in New Ulm and was a 1954 graduate of New Ulm High School. She was united in marriage to Gerald (Gerry) Ulrich on March 29, 1958, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. She worked at Kraft Foods and Ebert's Chalet, where she made pies. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She attended modeling school in the Twin Cities after high school. She loved traveling, bowling, gardening and spending time with friends and family. She had a loving and generous spirit that will be missed by many.
