Cathy was born in New Ulm, Minnesota, on December 7, 1953, to parents Robert and Vera Boesch and graduated from Cathedral High School. She met her husband, Roger, at a dance in the spring of 1980, where they bonded over their mutual love of music and dance. After a short courtship, they married on October 4, 1980, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. Cathy and Roger were blessed with their son Brandon three years later in July of 1983. Cathy's professional career included her roles as a telephone operator at New Ulm Telecom, a proofreader at AUI, and a dye-press operator at 3M.
Cathy loved spending time with her beloved friends and family and sharing her various interests with those important to her. These included her strong love of music (especially oldies and polka), which she shared with her husband Roger and passed along to her son Brandon; her love for her grandnieces and grandnephew; her love of animals and the beauty of nature; her love of crafts, which decorated her home throughout the years; and her love of games and cards enjoyed with those close to her. Cathy's love for the holidays, especially Halloween and the Christmas season, including her extensive décor collections, was also well known to those in her life. Above all, though, Cathy was an exceptionally devoted mother who treasured her son and embraced every moment with him.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Roger Goblirsch of New Ulm, Minnesota; her son, Brandon Goblirsch (fiancée Valerie) of Charlottesville, Virginia; her older sister, Kay Boesch of Long Beach, California; her twin brother, Craig (Lynn) Boesch of Spicer, Minnesota; and her niece, Stacy (Jay) Justus, two grandnieces, and a grandnephew of Victoria, Minnesota. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Vera (Madsen) Boesch. Cathy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those she touched.
