Cheryl A. Serbus, age 67, of New Ulm, died Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Mass of Christian burial will be 12:00 noon on Monday, June 24, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday at the church.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Steven; son, Jeremy (Nicki) Serbus of New Ulm; mother, Lorraine Bastian of Gibbon; two grandchildren, Cody and Shelby Serbus; sister, Karen (Roger) Holm of Winthrop; three brothers, Ron (Barb) Bastian, Joey (Patty) Bastian, and Bruce Bastian, all of Gibbon; many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ambrose Bastian.

Cheryl Ann Bastian was born on April 12, 1957 in New Ulm to Ambrose & Lorraine (Fahrenkamp) Bastian. She graduated from Gibbon High School in 1975. Cheryl was united in marriage to Steven Serbus in 1975 in Gibbon. She worked at Kraft Foods in New Ulm until her retirement. Cheryl was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church since 1976. She enjoyed baking, and tending to her flowers and garden. Cheryl also found enjoyment in camping, travelling, visiting friends in Iowa, and finding a good bargain at thrift stores and garage sales. Most of all, she loved watching her grandchildren's sporting events, and spending time with her family. Blessed be her memory.
