Christ Hippert, 88 of New Ulm died Tuesday, February 14, 2022 at Abbot-Northwestern hospital in Minneapolis.

Funeral service will be 11 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm with Pastor Timothy Anderson officiating. Burial will take place in the New Ulm City Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be 4 – 7 PM Monday and 10 – 11 AM Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm.

Christ is survived by his wife Karen Hippert of New Ulm; a daughter, Wendy (Greg) Sondag of New Ulm; sons, Mark (Marie) Hippert of Owatonna, Steven (Jane) Hippert of Owosso, Michigan; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ardis Evers and Eleanor Hippert; and his brother Robert Belton.

Christ Hippert Jr. was born December 11, 1934 in Courtland to Christopher and Helen (Hall) Hippert. He was united in marriage to Karen Albrecht on March 15, 1956 at the Friedens Church in New Ulm. Christ was employed at Super Sweet and then D&A Trucking until his retirement. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, antiques, golfing, traveling and enjoying his family
