Christopher "Chris" Truman Ellis, age 48 of New Ulm died unexpectedly at his home in New Ulm on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

A memorial service will take place in Mississippi at a later date.

The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are currently assisting the family with arrangements.

Chris is survived by his parents, Russel and Carolyn Ellis of Kosciusko, MS; his sons, Camron Ellis of Pearl, MS, Steven Ellis of New Ulm; his long time significant other, Tara Hillesheim of New Ulm; his sisters, Crystal Ellis of Kosciusko, MS, Ashlee Lindsey of Kosciusko, MS, Tina Dugan of Miss., Frances Frazier of Miss., his brother, Russel S. Ellis of Kosciusko, MS; and many other relatives and friends.

Christopher "Chris" Truman Ellis was born December 1, 1974, in Kosciusko, Mississippi to Russel and Carolyn (Swanson) Ellis.  Growing up in Mississippi, Chris attended grade school and high school in Kosciusko.  As a lifelong outdoorsman, Chris enjoyed spending time on the water fishing with friends, and hunting when he could.  What brought him the most joy in life was always his family.  He enjoyed every moment he got to spend with his kids, and cherished every moment he could.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.  Blessed be his memory.
