She is survived by her husband Scott LaValley; daughters Lindsey Sabean of Mayer and Kelsey (Andrew) Hansen of Gibbon; step-sons, Michael LaValley of Monticello and Travis LaValley of Big Lake; her sister Myrna (Dale) Magandy of Buffalo; many nieces and nephews; and her five cherished grandchildren Nova Sabean, Grayson, Hadlee, McKoy, and Maverick Hansen.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Gladys Klukas; mother-in-law Ruth LaValley; her brother Elmer Klukas; and her sister Lois Burley.
Connie Marie (Klukas) LaValley was born on May 15, 1956, in New Ulm, Minnesota, to Rudolph and Gladys (Stark) Klukas. She graduated from Gibbon High School in 1974, and later pursued her education at Mankato State University, earning a degree in education.
She was united in marriage to Brad Turtle. This union blessed the couple with two daughters. The couple later divorced. In 1995, Connie moved to Eden Prairie, where she found a new chapter in her career as a marketing professional with MCG. On April 20, 2001, she married Scott LaValley at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie. She moved to Elk River, where Connie and Scott lived until her passing.
Connie worked as a receptionist at Heritage Auto Body until her retirement in December 2020. After retirement, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and creating diamond art. But what truly brought Connie the most joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whether playing in the pool, crafting, or simply being together. Connie and Scott also cherished their winters in Port Aransas, Texas, where they made lasting memories with friends and spent relaxing days on the beach. Connie was an excellent cook, known for hosting family meals and playing card games. Connie will forever be remembered for the love she shared and the memories she created.
Blessed be her memory.
