Obituary

Connie Stadick, age 80 of New Ulm died Thursday, June 10, 2025 at Pathstone Senior Living in Mankato.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11am on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Wednesday, July 16 and will continue from 10-10:45am on Thursday morning, all at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH chapel.

Connie is survived by her daughters, Leah Beyer of Pequot Lakes and Lonnie (Mike Buechner) Carda of New Ulm; son, Cory (Julia) Stadick of New Ulm; grandchildren, Andy (Carrie) Beyer and their children, Aubree and Cora, Katie (Jeff) McCulloch and their children, Brynn ,Liam, Levi, Tucker, Anna (Justin Sullivan) Carda, Joey (Jenna) Carda and their children, McCoy and Baker, Ryan (Alison) Stadick and their children, Ryson and Stetson, and Rachel Stadick; brothers, Doug (Betty Jean) DeLeo of New Ulm, Philip (Sue Kuester) DeLeo of Gibbon, Sid (Jan) DeLeo of New Ulm; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy DeLeo and Dolly DeLeo; her husband, Jim Stadick; parents-in-law, Joe and Leona Stadick; sister-in-law, Patty DeLeo; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rita and Sonny Linsmeier.

Constance Louise DeLeo was born January 13, 1945 in New Ulm to Gaetano "Guy" and Flavia "Dolly" (Ries) DeLeo. She attended Cathedral High School and was united in marriage to James "Jim" on November 22, 1961, at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, where she was a life-long member. Together, they made their home in New Ulm and raised their three children. Connie worked her entire career at the New Ulm Medical Center, retiring after 40 years. she enjoyed motorcycle trips, snowmobiling, camping at Gull Lake, going for coffee, the wagon train, and roller-skating in her younger days. She was a loyal customer for breakfasts at Lakes on 1st and had fun playing bingo with her friends. Above all else, family was everything to Connie. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she never missed a chance to spend time with them.

She will be remembered for her laugh, sassy spirit, and sense of humor. She will be incredibly missed but her memory will live on in those who loved her. Blessed be her memory.
