Darwin D. Stresemann, age 81, of New Ulm passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Oak Hills Living Center.

A private service will be held.

Darwin is survived by his son, Robert Stresemann; domestic partner, Linda Schaefer; and her children, John Schaefer, Julie (Tharon) Young; and their children, Austin, Samantha Schaefer, Talor and Paige Young; and his brother, Darrel (Marge) Stresemann.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Darwin D. Stresemann was born March 10, 1943 to Herb and Mauretania (Edwards) Stresemann in New Ulm. He graduated from Winthrop High School. After high school he enlisted into the United States Army Reserves and served in Vietnam. He worked for Wilfarht Bros., 3M, PGI Mailers and Caterpillar. He was an avid reader and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and tinkering in his garage and sharing a beer with his friends. He was also a starter of many projects. Darwin will be greatly missed by those who knew him blessed be his memory.
