David Clancy, 80, of New Ulm died Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday, December 15th at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity In New Ulm with Father Nathan Hansen celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 7 PM Thursday and 9-10:30 AM Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.

Dave is survived by his wife Sandi of New Ulm; a daughter, Dawn (Brian) Clyne of Searles; sons, Bryan (Debra) Clancy of Courtland, John (Crystal) Clancy of Lakeville, Mike (Gwen) Clancy of Castle Rock Colorado; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and by his brother, Roger Clancy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Mary Jo Snyder.
David John Clancy was born August 4, 1943 in Sherburne to Eugene and Martha (Faber) Clancy. He was united in marriage to Sandra Rohman on November 12, 1960 in Trimont. Dave was employed at American Artstone for 45years and also owned and operated Clancy Fire Extinguisher for 42 years until his retirement. He had many hobbies including fishing, deer hunting, card playing, gardening and spending time at his property on Fox Lake. Dave was very active in the New Ulm community as he was a member of the Cathedral Parish, New Ulm Fire Dept. for 23 years serving as Chief for 2 years, Sons of the American Legion for 39 years, MUFBA, Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Assoc, and in charge of Sunday Sinners at Turner Halle for many years.
Dave will be deeply missed by family and friends.
