He was preceded in death by his father, James; his grandparents; his mother-in-law, Dianne Sjobeck; his father-in-law, Willibald Eibner; and his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Eibner.

Dean Thomas Schlumpberger was born on April 28, 1961, in New Ulm to James and Marlys (Franta) Schlumpberger.  Growing up in New Ulm, Dean attended New Ulm Public Schools, graduating in 1979.  He was united in marriage to Kimberly "Kim" Eibner on May 4, 1985, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.  This union blessed the couple with two sons whom together they raised in New Ulm.  Dean worked for Kraft Foods in New Ulm for 38 years.  Dean also farmed for 20 years and was recently driving truck for America Midwest Transportation.  Many good memories were made on vacations with Triple S Vacations, ripping the countryside in his side by side, and fishing.  He always enjoyed following his sons and more recently his grandchildren's activities.  Memorials are preferred to Hope Lodge in Rochester, the local Tea for Cancer Foundation.  I was greatly benefitted by these local organizations.

It was a great ride! I hope I slide in at the gates of heaven doing 90mph!
