Denise Borson, age 63, of New Ulm passed away Monday, June 15, 2026 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2026 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Pastor Brian Scoles will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery in New Ulm.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2026 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm.

Denise is survived by her siblings, Duane Borson, Deb (Tom) Langholz, Diane Torgusen; nieces and nephews, Heather (Jay) Weigel, Nicole Gable, Daniel Borson; Eric (Marti) Torgusen, Alise Torgusen, Andrew (Jenny) Langholz, Kelsey Langholz (Jeremy Curtis); great nieces and nephews, Calvin Jobe, Memphis and Mahlia Gable, Weston and Ayson Torgusen, Autumn Langholz; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Deloris and Donald Borson; and brother-in-law, Paul Torgusen.

Denise Ann Borson was born August 15, 1962 to Donald and Deloris (Norton) Borson in Glencoe. The family moved to New Ulm shortly after, where Denise attended school and graduated from New Ulm Public. She began working at AMPI, then in the office for the Kaiserhoff. Denise continued working there and became co-owner of Schnitzelbank in New Ulm. After many years, she sold her portion of the bar and worked at Lindy’s Collection Services until her health forced her to retire. Outside of work, family was central to Denise’s life. She loved planning and organizing family gatherings, keeping in touch with relatives, and being the glue that held everyone together. She also enjoyed going thrifting, antiquing, and listening to polka music. Although her passing was earlier than we wanted, her countless memories will continue to live on in all who knew her. Blessed be her memory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
