Don is survived by his daughter, Christine (Tim) Tanley of Sigel Township, their daughters, Heidi Tanley of New Ulm and Katie (fiancé Matt Dinesen) Tanley of Alpha; his son, Larry (Tammy) Domeier of New Ulm, their daughter, Madalyn Domeier of New Ulm; his son, Daniel (fiancé Kari Hanson) Domeier of Sigel Township; Don's sister, Carol Pavlo of Shakopee; and his nephews, Scott, Paul, and Tony Zeig.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Esther Domeier; his wife, Avona Domeier in 1999; his mother-in-law, and father-in-law, Winifred and Victor Altmann; his sister-in-law, and brother-in-law, Doreen and Jerry Cichon; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Altmann, and Jim Pavlo.

Donald Edwin Domeier was born February 23, 1939, in New Ulm to Edwin and Esther (Weiland) Domeier.  He attended country grade school in Sigel Township and soon after went to work on his family's farm.  Don was united in marriage to Avona Altmann on June 24, 1961, at the Swan Lake Catholic Church.  Soon after marriage, the couple settled on the family farm where Don worked as a dedicated crop and dairy farmer for over forty years.  When he wasn't working on the farm, he enjoyed spending time in his shop woodworking, or spending time in nature hunting and fishing.  As a talented musician, Don also enjoyed sharing his love for old tyme music playing the concertina.  What he loved most in life was time he got to spend with his family, and especially loved getting to see his grandchildren grow.  He was a devout member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.  Don will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, but countless memories will forever stay in their hearts.  Blessed be those memories.
