Donald Joseph Forster was born September 4, 1937 to Benjamin and Mary (Zeig) Forster in New Ulm. He went to District #6 county school in Siegel Township and then enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1956-1957. On September 23, 1958, Don was united in marriage to Susan Liebl at St. George Catholic Church. Their union was blessed with three children, whom they raised on their farm in rural New Ulm. In addition to being a father, Don worked for two years at Kraft Foods, ten years at New Ulm Furniture, and over fifty years as a farmer. He was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Catholic Aid, Knights of Columbus, and Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.  In his free time, Don enjoyed going fishing, bowling every Friday, and making trips to Jackpot. Many fond memories were made going to Lake of the Woods and Clear Lake to fish with his family, having coffee every morning at Hy-Vee, and the countless hours spent with his family. Don will be dearly missed by those that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
