Donald "Sep" Tauer. 85, of New Ulm died Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Woodstone Assisted Living in New Ulm.

A visitation will be 9:30 - 10:30 AM Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery, Soldier's Rest Section with the New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard providing Full Military honors.

Sep is survived by his nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Valeria (Ray) Schanus; brothers and sisters-in-law, Erwin (Angie) Tauer, Ferdinand Tauer, Curtis (Jolaine) Tauer and Ernest Tauer.

Donald Joseph Tauer was born August 20,1938 in Lake Hanska Township, Brown County to Frank and Ella (Reinarts) Tauer. He attended District #75 School and later earned his GED. Sep grew up and worked on the family farm and then served in the U.S. Army from July 3, 1957 to July 2, 1959. After his discharge from the Army he joined and co-owned with his brothers, the  Beeline Wheel and Frame for 40 years until his retirement. Sep enjoyed bowling, fishing and watching Minnesota sports teams. He was a Lifetime member of the DAV and American Legion Post #132.
