He was born February 15, 1966 in Memphis, Tennessee.   Don is survived by his parents, Ken & Maryann Thorn of New Ulm; his brother, Doug (Donna) Thorn of Farmingdale, NJ; ; his sister Deb (Paul) Wesselmann of New Ulm; and beloved nieces & nephews, Jessica (Franklin) Wesselmann of New Ulm, Douglas Thorn II of Virginia Beach, VA, Amber (Preston) Portner of Courtland, MN, and Ryan (Katelyn) Wesselmann of O'Fallon MO.  He is also lovingly remembered by seven great-nieces and nephews as well as his fury companions, Bella & Stella.

Don spent his life working as a dedicated truck driver, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic.  Over the years he traveled countless miles.  Don found joy in the outdoors.  He loved fishing and often appreciated the quiet moments.  He was also known for his love of cooking, bringing people together by preparing meals for his friends and family and enjoying conversations and Bloody Mary's on his deck.  His presence at Saturday morning breakfast with the guys & Vikings games in the garage will be missed.  Those who knew him will remember his generosity, his down-to-earth nature, fun-loving personality and Facebook posts.

Don will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  Blessed be his memory.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for his care at Mayo Hospitals in Mankato & Rochester, Cassie, his home health nurse, & Dr. King at Allina Clinic.
