Donna Hoffmann was born February 6, 1933 in New Ulm, Minnesota to Mike and Appelonia (Haas) Schugel. She grew up in New Ulm and was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. On June 8, 1955, Donna was united in marriage to Ambrose Hoffmann at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. The couple shared 71 wonderful years of marriage and raised their nine children together.
Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured time spent with her family. She loved cooking and baking, especially making her homemade sauerkraut, German potato salad, strawberry jelly, and apple pies. In her free time, Donna could often be found playing cards or spending countless hours embroidering. She was no stranger to hard work, working alongside her husband on the dairy farm and taking particular pleasure in driving tractor. One of her greatest joys was dancing with Ambrose, a pastime they shared throughout their many years together. Above all else, Donna's family meant the world to her, and she took great pride in caring for those she loved. Her love and dedication to her family will be forever cherished by all who knew her. Blessed be her memory. Bye Ma!
