Donna Nichols, 60, of New Ulm died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Friday, August 3, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter officiating. Burial will follow in the Cambria Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 - 7 PM Thursday and 7:30 - 10:30 AM Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.

Donna is survived by her husband, Michael Nichols of New Ulm; a daughter and son-in-law, Amber and James DeLay of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; granddaughter, Rowan DeLay; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diann and Jerry Veen of Worthington, Ellen and Mervin Samp of Jackson, Colette Leinen of Worthington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joel and Linda Leinen of Calmus, Iowa, David and Rosa Leinen of Worthington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Misty Nichols.

Donna Lorraine Lienen was born February 3, 1952 in Worthington to Donald and Phyllis (Koehn) Leinen. She was a graduate of Fulda High School. Donna was united in marriage to Michael Nichols on April 17, 1978 in New Ulm. She was employed at the Holiday Inn in New Ulm for more than 20 years.
