Dorothy A. Freiderich, age 98, of New Ulm, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Oak Hills Living Center.

Funeral service will be 12 noon on Friday, November 6, 2026, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-NORTH Chapel in New Ulm. Father Gerald Meidl will officiate, and burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. -12 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Norman) Wieland and Claudia (Mark) Gleisner, both of New Ulm; son, Brian Freiderich of Dodge Center; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Tom (Corrine) Zangel of Mankato; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 2012; daughter, Priscilla Anderson; grandson, Matthew Anderson; her parents, Aloysius & Helen (Postel) Zangel; sisters, Elaine Iverson, Kathy Zangel, and Marion Scheibel; and brother, Robert Zangel.
