Dorothy was born on December 19, 1927 in New Ulm to George and Carrie (Hoffmann) Bonderson. She was baptized and confirmed at the Bernadotte Lutheran Church. Dorothy attended grade school at Nicollet County District 26 and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1946. She was also a graduate of the College of Commerce, Minneapolis. Before marriage, Dorothy was employed by General Mills, Minneapolis and Ulrich Electric, New Ulm.

She also was a member and served as an officer in her Church Women's group, taught Sunday school, and belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary.

Some activities Dorothy enjoyed were traveling, quilting, baking, and canning. She was famous for her Butterscotch Rolls and her German Potato Salad. She especially enjoyed seeing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren!

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Carrie Bonderson and son-in-law Don Riemenschneider. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Carl; their children, Debbie Riemenschneider of Rhinelander, WI, Wendy (Tim) Schulz of Lafayette, Brian (Mary) Martens of Lafayette, and Pam Martens of New Ulm; 6 grandchildren, Sara (Garth) Saul, Mark (Delia) Riemenschneider, Tony (Kelly) Martens, Lindsey (Gary) Lagueux, Brad (Laura) Martens, and Laura (Kyle) Dalquist; 11 great grandchildren, Annabelle and Clayton Riemenschneider, Carter and Corbin Martens, Kaiden and Briley Lagueux, Owen Martens, Keegan and Kinley Saul, and William and Lane Dalquist; and sister, Victoria (Arnold) Rehmann.
