Eldred Myron Redman, age 85 of Winthrop, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025. He was born on April 8, 1940, in New Ulm, Minnesota, to Alfred and Edna (Rathke) Redman.

Eldred was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at Union Congregational Church of Winthrop. He graduated from Winthrop High School in 1958 and proudly served in the Army Reserve from 1958 to 1965.

On July 31, 1964, Eldred married Harriet Esping Prosch at North Mankato Covenant Church. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and farming. Eldred farmed from 1959 until his retirement in 2005 and was an active member of Faith United Church in Winthrop.

He enjoyed watching sports and spending time socializing with friends and family. Eldred will be remembered for his warm personality, strong work ethic, and devotion to his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Harriet; daughters Anita Kask (husband Erik) of Winthrop and Sharon Weber (husband Kevin) of Brownton; grandson Scott Kask (wife Dorianne) of Albany; and granddaughter Samantha Kask (fiancé Spencer Martin) of Austin, Texas.

Eldred was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edna Redman.

A celebration of Eldred's life will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Faith United Church in Winthrop. Burial will follow at the Winthrop Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Faith United Church in Winthrop.
