Georgine is survived by her daughter, Tonya (Robert) Rabasco of Pillager; son, Troy (Katy) Tepley of Bloomington; grandchildren, James and Corrina Rabasco, Miles and Lola Tepley; sister, Ingrid (John) Bode of Hanska; nephews, Darin and Lane Bode; in-laws, other relative and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents (Nettie and Orville Asleson); husband, Eugene, in December 2023; and her beloved dogs.

Georgine Annette Asleson was born January 2, 1947 in New Ulm to Orville and Nettie (Sorbel) Asleson. Georgine held the unique honor of being the first baby born in New Ulm that year. She graduated from Hanska High School in 1965. Georgine was united in marriage to Eugene Tepley on April 12, 1969 at Nora Unitarian Church in rural Hanska. The couple was blessed with a daughter and a son, whom together they raised in New Ulm. Georgine dedicated her entire career working as a medical transcriber and record keeper for the New Ulm Medical Center. Georgine faced and triumphed over the challenges of cancer in the year 2000 and heart failure in 2019, demonstrating immense strength and resilience. She participated in a cancer survivors' group and Relay for Life for years. In her free time, Georgine enjoyed reading, crocheting, socializing and playing cards with friends, and watching the MN Twins. Georgine was proud of her 100% Norwegian heritage and she carried that with her throughout her life and also extended to the kitchen, where she delighted in making traditional Norwegian dishes like lefse, scrollers, meatballs, and lutefisk. Georgine's dogs were not just pets; they were beloved members of her family. Her love for her dogs added an extra layer of warmth and companionship to her life. Georgine was a life-long member of Nora Unitarian Universalist Church in rural Hanska, where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. Her loyalty and dedication to the church was a very important part of her life. Family was at the center of Georgine's world. A wonderful mother and a proud grandma, she poured her heart into creating a nurturing and loving home. Her kindness, caring nature, and sweet personality left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to know her. Georgine will be deeply missed. Blessed be her memory.

As Mount Pisqua is too cold and icy in winter, a Burial and Celebration of Life Ceremony will also be held at Nora Church this Spring. Details to follow at a later date. At this time of year, Georgine was always awaiting Spring, her favorite season!
