Gerold Allen Boerger, 73, of Nicollet, MN, passed away on December 25, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 22, 1951, in New Ulm to Ray and Harriet (Voges) Boerger, Gerold was united in marriage to Debra Sandstrom on April 15, 1978, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal. He was employed as a truck driver in the sanitation industry until his retirement. Gerold enjoyed playing cards, darts, horseshoes, hunting, camping, and fishing. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family, sharing laughter and creating memories. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and legendary beard.

Gerold is survived by his wife, Debra; children, Heather Boerger, Erin (Samuel) Fegler, and Joshua (Jeannie) Boerger; grandchildren, Brandon, Bryce, Addyson, Nadia, Natalie, Nolan, Elijah, and Whitney; and siblings, Donna (Glen) Wiens, David Boerger, and Gail Dumas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Harriet Boerger.
