Glenn Arthur Bode was born December 1, 1943, in New Ulm to Arthur F. and Beatrice (Friedrich) Bode. Glenn was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Courtland and attended grade school in Nicollet. Glenn was united in marriage to Bonnie Reinhart on April 25, 1964, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Courtland. Glenn and Bonnie were blessed with two sons which they raised in Courtland. Glenn worked his entire career as an owner/operator truck driver predominantly with Frank Bode Trucking. Besides his work in the truck, there were a variety of hobbies that Glenn enjoyed in life. Glenn always loved sports, but especially loved baseball, bowling, snowmobiling, fishing and hunting. He had a lifelong love for country western music, and movies. To relax, Glenn enjoyed going for a nice ride on his Harley, or taking in nature on a good mushroom hunt. He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Courtland where he volunteered in numerous positions. Besides his work, and his hobbies, what brought him the most joy in his life was his family. He dearly enjoyed every moment he got to spend with his wife, his boys, and his grandchildren. His grandkids truly were his life. He will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved him. Blessed be his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be sent to the Courtland or New Ulm Baseball Association, the American Heart Association, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Courtland, or the donor's choice.
