September 5, 1954 – June 26, 2025
Gregg Schnobrich, age 70, formerly of New Ulm, died Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Sleepy Eye Care and Rehabilitation Center in Sleepy Eye.
A memorial visitation will be held from 10-11am on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home - NORTH chapel with a prayer at 11am. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Searles where the New Ulm Battery will be firing the cannons in honor of "Rocky".

Gregg is survived by his mother, Marie "Pat" Schnobrich of Lake Crystal; sisters, JoAnne (James) Fischer of Sleepy Eye, Laura (Boyd) Meier of Lake Crystal, Lisa Amedeo of Manor, Texas; brother, Brian Schnobrich of Hanska; nephews and nieces, Jason Fischer, Joel Fischer, Ryan Fischer, Amanda Vela, Crystal Meier, Chad Carlson, Robert Amedeo, Andrew Amedeo; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Schnobrich; sister, SusAnne Schnobrich.
Gregg R. Schnobrich was born September 5, 1954 in New Ulm to Harley and Marie (Lindmeyer) Schnobrich. He graduated from New Ulm High School and furthered his education at Hutchinson Vo Tech. During his younger years, Gregg worked at Del Monte in Sleepy Eye. He then worked as a machinist for Kato Engineering in Mankato and Life Fitness in Owatonna. Gregg was an independent person but always and liked joking around with people. He enjoyed collecting rare guns and was a previous member of the New Ulm Battery. Tending to horses and trail riding was a long-time hobby of his. Gregg lived a good life and many memories were made. Blessed be his memory.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Sleepy Eye Care Center and Rehabilitation, Allina Hospice, and Dr. Lovig for their excellent care provided to Gregg.
