He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchild-in-infancy, Martin Jonathan Enter; sister, Mary Ann Leopold; brother-in-law, Arthur Gerndt; and many aunts, uncles, and extended family and friends.

Ivan Harvey Enter was born May 6, 1946 to Harvey and Viola (Bode) Enter in Nicollet. He graduated from Dr. Martin Luther High School in New Ulm and then went on to Dr. Martin Luther College for a year and then to Mankato VoTech, where he earned a degree in AgriBusiness. On June 21, 1969, Ivan married the love of his life, Janine Margaret England, in Balaton. Built on a friendship which started in high school and grew into a beautiful love story, their union was blessed with four children. In addition to being a husband and father, Ivan farmed for fifteen years. He then worked at Carlson Craft in Mankato, was a salesman for NaChurs Fertilizer, NutraFlo Fertilizer, and various others before opening Enter's Liquid Fertilizer in Nicollet. Farming and working with farmers were Ivan's calling in life. He also served as president and member of the Nicollet Lions Club, on the Trinity Lutheran Church council, president and member of Nicollet County Pork Producers, and as president and member of the New Ulm Farm City Hub Club – where he earned the Service to Ag Award. In their free time, Ivan and Janine were always planning or attending events together. Whether it was volunteering, hosting neighborhood parties, playing cards, attending church functions, and traveling, the couple were rarely seen without each other. Ivan will be fondly remembered for his kind heart, patience, and strong love for all his family, friends, and customers. Ivan will be dearly missed. Blessed be his memory.
