October 24, 1937 – April 5, 2025
Janet Rosin of Nicollet, MN passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Oak Terrace Assisted Living in North Mankato.
A funeral service will be at 2pm on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with Pastor Micah Plocher officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Nicollet.
A visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Friday at church, prior to the service
Janet is survived by her sons, Rick (Barb) Rosin of Nicollet, Kirk Rosin of Mankato, and Dan (Brenda) Rosin of Nicollet; grandchildren, Kari and Trent Wadd (Kloe and Mason), Ryan and Hannah Rosin (Seth, Riley and Dietrich), Kendra and Scott Hoffman (Mikenna, Abigail and Libby), Travis Rosin and Dalton Rosin; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rosin; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; her brother, Donald (LuAnn) Luiken; and other brothers and sisters-in-law.
Janet Marilyn Luiken was born October 24, 1937 in Mankato, MN to Leslie and Pearl (Smith) Luiken. She attended country school then went on to graduate from Lake Crystal High School in 1955. Janet first met Roger at a dance hall, and the two were married August 25, 1956. The couple was blessed with three sons. Janet and Roger raised their boys on the family farm, where they lived all their married life. Janet enjoyed all forms of baking, especially decorating cakes for friends and family. She was incredibly dedicated to her family, attending every event and celebration. Janet was involved in many volunteer activities throughout her life. Janet lived through many experiences and will continue to live on in those who loved her. Blessed be her memory.
