Jean J. Freiderich, age 65, of New Ulm passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH Chapel.

Jean is survived by her son, Brian (Marcia) Kral Jr.; grandchildren, Thea Allen, Braydon Kral, Miranda Kral; great-grandchild, Jayden Pope; sisters, Lisa (Bob) Pumper, Kari (Tim Meidl) Apitz; brothers, John (Gail) Apitz, Scott (Sharon) Apitz, Mike (Cindy) Apitz and Bryan (Amy) Apitz.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clifford "Butch" Freidrich.

Jean Joann Apitz was born August 1, 1957 to Harold and Joan (Stimpert) Apitz in New Ulm. She graduated from New Ulm High School. Jean worked at Texaco, Freedom, Runnings, R&R Baitshop, Hy-Vee, MRCI Thrift store and Courtland Mart. On April 1, 2003 she was united in marriage to Clifford Freiderich in New Ulm. Nature was a big part of Jean's life she enjoyed going to the State Parks especially with her grandchildren and going on hikes. Jean loved animals and volunteered the Brown County Humane Society. She also enjoyed crafting and researching family history. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Blessed be her memory.
