On June 21, 1948 Tootie was united in marriage to Leonard Christensen at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. The couple was blessed with two sons whom together they raised in New Ulm. Tootie worked over 20 years at BF Goodrich fabricating refrigerator gaskets. Tootie was a social person and loved to spend time visiting over a cold beer. Tootie would make friends with people of all ages. She liked to have fun and was fun to be around. Over the years, she had the best of times with her mother, sisters and brothers-in-law having garage parties, many Halloween parties, or in the New Ulm bars. Tootie enjoyed all kinds of music, especially polka, celebrating at New Ulm's many festivals, and trips to Jackpot. She was always happy when she could have her favorite potato pancakes on dinner outings with her family. Tootie was a life-long member of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Church, a member of the Christian Mother's and previously, St. Elizabeth Society. Tootie had a lasting impact on an immeasurable amount of people and will be deeply missed. Blessed be her memory.
