GIBBON
Jessica Jaekel, 39, of Gibbon died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Abbott - Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon with Pastor Michael Gorte officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon is in charge of the arrangements.
Jessica is survived by her son, Michael Jaekel at home; parents, Brent and Sue Jaekel of Gibbon; sister and brother-in-law, Nicole and Jeremy Rieke of Gibbon; nephews, Spencer Rieke, Alexander Rieke, Maxwell Rieke; and an uncle, Robert Ness of Gibbon. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Ernest and Emma Ness, Harry Jaekel, Edgar and Ella Niebuhr.
Jessica Sue Jaekel was born on November 20, 1971 in Gaylord to Brent and Susan (Ness) Jaekel. She graduated from MVL and then graduated from Ridgewater College in Hutchinson with a degree in nursing. Jessica worked for many years as an LPN at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax. She was a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon.
