Joleen "Jojo" Earl, age 77 of New Ulm died Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Ridgeway on German.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11am on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father Gerald Meidl officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH chapel and will continue Friday morning from 9:30-10:30am at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The Christian Mother's will pray the rosary on Thursday at 4pm at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.

Joleen is survived by her daughter, Shyla Earl of Minneapolis; son, Brian Earl of New Ulm; twin sister, Diane Braulick; sister-in-law, Shirley Forster; brother-in-law, Gary Bode; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Jim Hoffman, Dick and Jan Earl; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald "Jerry" Earl; brothers, Thomas "Tommy", Richard "Dicky", Robert "Bobbie", Louis Jr. "Butch"; sisters, Jeannie Janni and Karen Bode; brothers-in-law, Ron Braulick and Alan Janni; nephews, Jerry Janni and Chad Bode; great nieces and nephew, Karissa Bode, Samantha Johnson, Nick Janni.
Joleen Ann Earl was born with her twin sister and best friend, Diane on December 20, 1946 in Sleepy Eye to Louis and Agnes (Wiltscheck) Forster. Joleen worked on the mink farm at the Forster home until she was 17. She then joined the convent for 7 years. Joleen returned to New Ulm and got a job working at Kraft where she met Jerry. She was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" Earl on July 8, 1972 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. The couple was blessed with a daughter and son who they raised in New Ulm. Joleen had a passion for caring for children. She did foster care and was a daycare provider for 15 years. Joleen ended her work life with over 20 years on a printing machine at Norwood. Joleen was a long-time member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the Christian Mother's Society. She enjoyed dancing, playing pool, camping and fishing. Joleen was the best things a mom could be: loving, kind, generous, and a good listener. She was open minded and open hearted, always willing to help anyone. Joleen was fun and goofy and always looking for a good time. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Blessed be her memory.
