Karissa Bode, age 32, passed away after complications from an ATV accident.

Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. Pastor Micah Plocher will officiate. Following the service, a gathering will be held at Mount Kato in Mankato.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Visitation will continue from 3-4 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet.

Karissa was born on May 1, 1990. She attended Nicollet High School and afterwards obtained a cosmetology degree. She was continuing her education studying to be an Esthetician in Edina, Minnesota.

Karissa was kind, loving, caring, and creative. She was humorous, adventurous, and loved being outdoors. Her smile and laugh were infectious to everyone around her. Karissa was adored by her daughter, Sawyer, who shares all of the same qualities.

Karissa is survived by Chad Benke and their daughter Sawyer. Her parents Jeff and Angie Bode, sisters Taylor (Grant) and Emily (Anthony), grandparents Lois Barrer and Gary Bode, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa Norman Barrer, grandma Karen Bode, and uncle Chad Bode.

She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
