Kathleen "Kathy" Hesse, age 71, of New Ulm passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
A funeral mass will be held 11:00 am on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH Chapel and will continue from 9:30 – 10:30 am on Friday at the funeral home.
Kathy is survived by her husband, James Hesse; daughter, Angela Hesse; sons, Paul Hesse, Eric Hesse; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilou (James) Christensen; brothers, Jerome (Elsa) Clauson, David (Pam) Clauson; sister-in-law, Linda Clauson, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Jerry Clauson, Douglas Clauson and Richard Clauson.
Kathleen T. Clausen was born March 23, 1951 to Russell and Elizabeth (Caron) Clauson in Slayton. She graduated from Murray County High School. She was united in marriage to James Hesse on October 21, 1972 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Slayton. After marriage the couple moved to New Ulm where they raised their family together. While raising her children Kathy ran a home day care for over 10 years. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Blessed be her memory.
