She worked as a correctional officer in Nicollet County and most recently was employed with Wakefield Pork and Earthworks. Kayla loved spending time in nature whether it was hunting, fishing, or time in the woods or at the lake. Kayla enjoyed playing softball at the Courtland ballpark. She was strong willed, independent and caring. Beginning in 2019, Kayla became a proud member of the Courtland Fire Department.
