Kenneth "Kenny" Martin Compart, age 83 of Nicollet died Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.
Funeral service will be 2pm on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. Pastor Micah Plocher will officiate, and burial will follow in the Trinity Cemetery in rural Nicollet.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Friday at Trinity Church in Nicollet prior to the service.
The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements at this time.

Ken is survived by his sisters-in-law, Janette Compart of North Mankato, Arlene Compart of Gaylord; and many other, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Elsie Compart; his brothers, Gerald and Howard Compart; his sister, Marlyce Tews; and his brother-in-law, Lowell Tews; his niece, Twilla Roiger; and his nephews, Nathan Tews, and Kevin Compart.
Kenneth "Kenny" Martin Compart was born October 19, 1940, in New Ulm to Arthur and Elsie (Enter) Compart. Growing up in Nicollet, Kenny attended grade school and later went to work on his family's farm. Kenny worked a dedicated 23-year career with Twin Lakes Dairy in Nicollet. He later went to work for the Grain Commerce in Lake Crystal for 8 years, Courtland Concrete for 2 years, and Hewitt Docks and Lifts in Nicollet for 2 years before his retirement in 2002. As a social man, Kenny enjoyed walking the streets of Nicollet visiting with friends and neighbors any chance he could get. To keep his mind sharp, Kenny always enjoyed the challenge of a good puzzle as well. Kenny was a devout member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet where he would give his time when needed. These memories, and countless others will forever stay in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Blessed be his memory.
