LaDonna Rose Baier was born July 29, 1938 to Anton and Estelle (Suess) Baier in New Ulm. She graduated from New Ulm High School. LaDonna was united in marriage to Wayne Alfson in New Ulm. Their union was blessed with three children, whom they raised in New Ulm. LaDonna worked for Backer Drug/New Ulm Drug for 18 years and spent another 18 years working for Citizens Bank. LaDonna retired to care for her husband and other family members. After Wayne's death, LaDonna learned to be very independent, learning new technology and fixing things around the house. For many years she had her dog, Cuddles to keep her company. She wore out the wheels on more than one stroller, toting Cuddles around town. For over 40 years, LaDonna lived in the same home. She had wonderful neighbors who became like family. She was a caregiver at heart and was always welcoming and loving to many. The most important piece of LaDonna's life was her family. Any occasion she could find to get together, she would. Family was her whole world and she was especially overjoyed to become a grandma and great-grandma. LaDonna will be missed deeply but countless, wonderful memories were made and will always be treasured. Blessed be her memory.
