LeRoy Bastian, 93, of New Ulm died Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye with Military Honors provided by the New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard.
Visitation will be 4 – 7 PM Thursday and 9 – 10:30 AM Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH Chapel in New Ulm.

LeRoy is survived by his daughters, Connie (Bruce) Parker of Durango, Colorado, Sandi (Jim) Soukup of Sleepy Eye; sons, Kenneth (Linda) Bastian of Cross Lake, Doug (Wanda) Bastian of Winona; sisters, Gervaise Bastian of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mary Jo Bastian of Shoreview, Geraldine (Burt) Hauber of Loveland, Colorado; brothers, Wallace (Bonnie) Bastian of New Ulm, Cletus (Arlene) Bastian of LeRoy, Thomas (Lois) Bastian of Redwood Falls; sister-in-law Lorraine Bastian of Gibbon; Nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis; brother Ambrose; and a brother Jerome in infancy.
LeRoy Kenneth Bastian was born November 14, 1929 in New Ulm to Edwin and Margaret (Steinbach) Bastian. He attended District 16 Country School, St. George Catholic School and the U of M Farm School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 – 1955. LeRoy was employed as a carpenter for 45 years with Walt Meyer, Heymann Construction, Salonek and then on his own until his retirement.
He was a member of Catholic United, Catholic Order of Forrester's, American Legion and the DAV.
